Our Core Values.

CARE

“Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering” (Colossians 3:12). Care means to be concerned or worried about another person. It means to like to do something for someone or about the situation they are facing. It means to look after or provide for. It means to mind, bother, be interested , to look after, to tend for, to attend to, to nurse or to minister to and watch over. At the core or heart of Christianity is caring for one another. By having a heart that cares, it shows that we are seeking to be like Jesus. As you read through pages in the gospel, you can see the amount of love Jesus showed for everyone. At JCC, we embrace care as a command from The Lord. We esteem it as a pillar and a core belief of our foundation.

CHARACTER

Character is defined as strength of moral fiber. As the excellence of gold is its purity and the excellence of art is its beauty, so the excellence of man is his character. Persons of character are noted for their honesty, ethics, and charity. Character is the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual. It is the combination of traits and qualities distinguishing the individual nature of a person or thing. Character is what defines you. It’s what people see in you. Character is something that you hold fast to inside, and that people see in you on the outside. More importantly, it is something that God sees in you always. Our faith as an organization revolves around not just best practices but on character that is above reproach. We believe in good morals, integrity and ethics.

EXCELLENCE

In keeping with the biblical goal of spiritual growth and greater levels of maturity, we often find in Scripture the call to abound or excel in pursuing excellence. Without excellence, life will remain bland, lukewarm at best (Revelation 3:15-16). The quest for excellence fuels our fire and keeps us from just drifting downstream gathering debris. The pursuit of excellence is both a goal and a mark of our spiritual maturity. Our pursuit of excellence is motivated by the right values, priorities, and motives. Because of who we are in Christ, because of our eternal hope, and because of the enabling grace of God available to all believers in Christ, we seek to do our best and choosing what is best is part of God’s will and an evidence of genuine spiritual growth and maturity.

SERVICE

God in His infinite mercies heard the cry of the children of Israel and sent Moses His servant to talk to Pharaoh to release His people. The essence of that freedom was so they could go and serve Him or be useful to Him. That has always been the plan of God for His people. He knows that we need freedom from the task master in other to serve Him. God does not set people free so they could live just for themselves but so they could serve Him and in essence, live victoriously. Our mandate as an organization depicts this in word and deed: “To teach, train and equip the body of Christ with the word of faith so that believers can live a victorious life”

FELLOWSHIP

At JCC, we believe in Companionship, the company of believers, a community of interest, common activities, common Christian experiences and the involvement of all towards the growth of all. We believe that there is strength in numbers. It's good to know that when you need someone to pray for you, that you have a network of friends who have your back.God is faithful, through whom we were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Here, fellowship primarily focuses on our spiritual unity with Christ, an inner relationship. And fellowship does not stop with being an inner unity for it is primarily an action word. We believe that fellowship is not just doing anything together. It is only doing God’s will together. Quite obviously, our fellowship with others is only as good as our fellowship with Christ, our unity. And we can only participate with Him in doing God’s will, for that is all He ever does.
